A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, I dropped out of high school to become an apprentice carpenter, building housing commission homes in lovely Doonside, on the dark outer rim of the Sydney galaxy.

With my new found building talents, my older and wiser brother Steve, who had just rented an office in Crows Nest for his graphic design business, talked me into building a darkroom for his new studio.
Big bro then talked me into staying inside the darkroom making bromides. Some where along the line, I swapped digging trenches in Doonside, to spending my days in a dark room in Crows Nest. He also taught me the basics of finished art.

So with my new found art studio talents I got a gig as a dark room boy and studio junior at Ogilvy & Mather, a big ad agency in Sydney, and I didn’t even need to build the dark room.

In the many years since, I have spent time as a Finished Artist, Studio Manager, Typographer, Head of Art, Art Director, Creative Director and run my own consultancy since 2004.

I have been lucky enough to work alongside a number of absolute legends of the ad industry holding senior creative positions at some of Australia’s most successful ad agencies (…Ogilvy & Mather; Saatchi & Saatchi [Syd+London]; The Ball Partnership; EURO RSCG; The Campaign Palace), and picked up a few tips and awards along the way.

I’m now living a blissfully happy existence on the mid north coast freelancing as a designer, photographer and videographer, or indeed any of the options mentioned above.

I’ll be on the mower if you need me.

…just showing off now, but here are some lovely words from some lovely people…

We absolutely love working with the team at Twin Pete’s Creative. The guys are so understanding of the space we work in and always bring good humour and great sensitivity and kindness to the projects we collaborate on. No job to big or small for this crew – we look forward to working with Pete again many times over the coming years.

As the manager of the marketing function for a large organisation, I often have competing deadlines, with seemingly impossible briefs on a regular basis. Working with Pete never disappoints, he is creative, easy to work with and works within the unreasonable timeframes I most often demand. From print design, website design, photography, video and the production of large works such as our Annual Report, Pete always creates work that is beautiful, creative and of a high standard.
Working with Pete is not like working with any other third party or agency – he becomes a part of your team, working well with everyone and producing quality work time and time again.

Twin Pete’s Creative have produced several videos for the Soccajoeys Foundation over the past 3 years. We have been overwhelmed by the level of professionalism, attention to detail and the genuine authenticity in which Pete and his team approach every project. We feel fortunate to have encountered in Pete and Casey two individuals that share the same values as our Foundation, and that invest their heart and soul into every stage of the production.

We’ve been lucky enough to work with Pete and Casey at Twin Pete’s across several of our projects.  The quality of their work, their ability to understand exactly the tone and look that we need for each project and their commitment to go above and beyond is second to none.
Pete is so incredibly easy to work with. Every project delivered on time and to budget, which as a client is invaluable.
His work for our Surfers Healing Australia video was so impressive that he’s been recognised with several national and international awards..  you can’t ask for much more than that!
